Siam Piwat Hosts BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum at ICONSIAM

Connecting Young Leaders from Seven BIMSTEC Nations to Drive Innovation and Sustainable Growth
Siam Piwat Group, a prominent real estate and retail developer recognized for its ownership and management of major destinations like Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and co-ownership of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, has been designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to host the 'BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum: Where the Future Meets' at ICONSIAM, a globally recognized riverside landmark in Bangkok.

This forum serves as a side event to the BIMSTEC Summit 2025, hosted by Thailand from April 2 to April 4, 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.

The summit is part of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

Being chosen as the venue for this significant international gathering underlines the confidence expressed by governmental and international entities in Siam Piwat’s ability to connect people, cultures, and economies.

This initiative also reinforces Siam Piwat’s identity as 'The Visionary Icon,' emphasizing its commitment to hosting world-class events that foster regional innovation and development.

ICONSIAM is positioned to further enhance Thailand’s reputation as a hub of creativity, innovation, and economic opportunity, proving to be a prestigious venue for international conferences and gatherings.

The forum has drawn over 300 participants from the BIMSTEC member countries, creating a platform for the development of academic and business networks while promoting Thailand’s leadership role in the region on the global stage.

The BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum is scheduled for April 2 to 3, 2025, and is set to bring together youth leaders and emerging entrepreneurs from the seven member nations—India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

Participants will engage in discussions on various critical topics affecting the region, including connectivity, trade and investment, science and technology, agriculture and food security, climate change, security, and cyber resilience.

A distinguished feature of the event will be a keynote address by H.E. Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Chairperson of the Advisory Board to the Government of Bangladesh.

His address aims to highlight sustainable economic and social development through innovative and inclusive strategies.

BIMSTEC plays a crucial role in fostering international collaboration among the countries around the Bay of Bengal, focusing on regional economic, technological, and social advancement.

Thailand’s leadership as the host for this year’s summit underscores its position as an economic gateway in Asia, dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in the region.
