This represents the best outcome for Thai Paralympians to date, surpassing their performance in the 2016 Brazil Paralympics.
The National Sports Development Fund will distribute the cash prizes: 7.2 million baht for each gold, 4.8 million baht for each silver, and 3 million baht for each bronze.
Notably, wheelchair fencer Saysunee Jana will receive 24.6 million baht for her three golds and one bronze medal.
Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra expressed pride and gratitude towards the athletes and highlighted the inspiration they provide for future generations of Paralympians.
