Thai Traditional Massage Showcased at World Expo in Osaka
The World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai features Thailand's unique cultural heritage of Nuad Thai, with expert demonstrations and exhibitions
The World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai in Japan is currently hosting an exhibition on Thai traditional massage, also known as Nuad Thai.
The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine is representing Thailand at the event, which runs from April 13 to October 13, 2025. As part of the exhibition, expert Thai massage therapists have been selected to demonstrate authentic techniques, with a particular focus on alleviating Office Syndrome.
A temporary exhibition titled 'NUAD THAI: INTANGIBLE HERITAGE AND THAILAND’S HERBAL GIFT' is being held from April 13 to May 6, 2025, aiming to introduce the art of Thai massage to a wider audience, including Japanese and international visitors.
The Expo provides a platform to promote Thai massage, which has been recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.
The event has drawn large crowds, with many attendees showing interest in learning about Thailand's unique cultural heritage.
