Thai Port Authority Achieves Record Profits Amidst Sustained Growth
The Port Authority of Thailand marks its 74th anniversary with highest ever profits of 7,648 million baht and continued growth in cargo throughput and container traffic
The Port Authority of Thailand has announced its highest ever profits of 7,648 million baht for the fiscal year 2024, marking the third consecutive year of record-breaking revenue.
The total revenue for the fiscal year 2024 was 17,224 million baht.
In the first half of fiscal year 2025, which spanned from October 2024 to March 2025, the authority reported a net profit of 3,500 million baht.
During this period, the number of ships docking at Thai ports increased by 1.95% to 7,371.
Cargo throughput also saw a rise of 5.10% to 61.68 million tonnes, while container traffic grew by 5.35% to 5.56 million TEUs.
Ranong Port experienced significant growth in import and export volumes, driven by the expanding logistics industry linked with Myanmar.
Similarly, Chiang Saen Commercial Port witnessed steady overall growth.
The Laem Chabang Port Phase 3 expansion's first phase, focusing on marine construction, is currently 68.30% complete as of May 2025. Ongoing efforts are being made to progress the subsequent phases in a coordinated manner.
