Shangri-La Bangkok introduces exceptional dim sum offerings while Minor International targets U.S. expansion capitalizing on rising bookings.
Shangri-La Bangkok's Shang Palace is currently featuring an exclusive promotion titled "Dim Sum Dreams," which showcases a range of meticulously crafted dim sum delicacies aimed at enhancing the traditional dining experience.

This limited-time menu allows guests to savor specialties such as the golden crispy Taro Puff, the visually striking Swan Dumpling, and the Cheesy Spinach Siu Mai, which combines traditional flavors with modern twists.

The dessert option, a Pandan Almond Bun, offers a fragrant conclusion to the dim sum experience.

This culinary event is aimed at providing memorable moments for diners and is available daily during lunch hours until April 30, 2025.

In parallel, Minor International Plc, a major hospitality player in Thailand, is planning significant expansion into the United States, leveraging the international recognition gained from its participation in the popular TV series "The White Lotus." Four properties owned by Minor served as filming locations for the show, contributing to a notable 41% increase in online bookings for its Anantara resorts in Phuket and Koh Samui since the series' release.

Chairman Bill Heinecke has indicated ambitions to open an Anantara hotel in the U.S. by early next year, marking the brand’s entry into the competitive American market.

With aspirations to grow from 562 hotels to 850 by 2027, and 1,000 by 2030, Minor is actively positioning itself for recovery as global tourism rebounds.

The company reported strong performance in early 2025, with a 43% increase in net profit for the previous year, and noted that Thailand continues to attract foreign tourists, targeting over 40 million arrivals in 2025.

Additionally, the recent launch of BDMS Wellness Clinic at Sri Panwa in Phuket signifies a strategic move towards enhancing the health tourism sector, which is increasingly gaining traction among global travelers.

This luxury wellness clinic aims to blend scientific wellness practices with relaxation therapies to offer a holistic health experience.

Interested clients can access various health screenings and wellness programs tailored to individual needs, emphasizing a focus on preventive healthcare.

Founded under the auspices of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, this initiative is part of broader efforts to establish Thailand as a premier wellness destination.
