WHA Group to Achieve Sustainability with Technology by 2029
Tech-driven transformation aims to cut carbon emissions and boost business growth
WHA Group, under the leadership of chief executive Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, has set a goal to become a technology-driven company by 2025 and achieve key sustainability targets by 2029.
As part of its sustainability strategy, WHA plans to introduce a fleet of 20,000 electric vehicles (EVs) by 2029, which is expected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 280,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e).
This initiative is a part of WHA’s broader commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The company’s efforts include increasing its renewable energy capacity to 1,200 equity megawatts, aiming to reduce emissions by 683,000 tCO2e.
WHA operates in industrial estates, logistics, utilities, and power sectors, while also providing digital platform services.
The group has developed Mobilix, a software to manage EVs and batteries, which has already begun generating revenue and supports WHA’s green logistics objectives.
The announcement was made during the 2024 WHA Open House, a three-day event focused on innovation and business sustainability, held in Thailand.
WHA has allocated 160 million baht to advance its digital transformation from 2021 to 2024, aiming to leverage technology for exponential business growth.
