Event Commemorates Sacrifices of Korean War Veterans with Cultural Performances
The Korean Cultural Center in Thailand hosted the Korean War Memorial Concert 2024, co-hosted by the Patriotic Cultural Association in Korea.
This annual event supports the activities of the National Military Symphony Orchestra.
Around 1,000 attendees, including Korean War veterans, their families, Thai government officials, and members of the diplomatic and cultural community, participated in this commemoration.
The Republic of Korea Navy Symphonic Band, comprising 49 musicians, performed various musical genres, including Korean traditional music, pop, and martial music.
Notable pieces included 'Memories of Korean War' and 'Navy Blue Sticks'.
Soprano Lee Seihee from Korea, a winner of Chicago's Bel Canto Contest, collaborated with the band.
Additionally, Thai actor and singer Arm Kornkan Sutthikoses performed 'Lao Duang Deuan', a Thai folk song, on the ranat.
Ambassador Park Yongmin highlighted the concert's significance, noting its role in commemorating ASEAN-ROK Day and recognizing Thailand's position as a key coordinator between Korea and ASEAN.
