BYD Chairman Meets Thai Prime Minister, Discusses EV Factory and Price Sensitivity

Wang confirmed that BYD's electric vehicle factory in Thailand will operate at full capacity in two years, producing 150,000 cars annually. Srettha emphasized the importance of using locally produced parts and managing price adjustments appropriately.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin welcomed BYD chairman Wang Chuanfu at Government House, where Wang confirmed that BYD's electric vehicle (EV) factory in Thailand will operate at full capacity in two years, producing 150,000 cars annually.
Srettha stressed the importance of maintaining the supply chain, using locally produced parts, and managing price adjustments appropriately.
Wang, accompanied by BYD Auto Industry Co Ltd and Rêver Group executives, underlined the company's commitment to the Thai market and highlighted the extensive use of the local supply chain and advanced technologies in production.
The BYD factory in Rayong Province, spanning 600 rai (approximately 96 hectares), will support nine projects with a total investment of 35 billion baht, starting with the BYD Dolphin model.
BYD plans to export vehicles to the ASEAN region, including Indonesia and Vietnam.
