Major Cineplex Launches PALLY Kids Cinema to Cater to Families

New cinema aims to expand family-friendly offerings as school holidays approach.
Major Cineplex Group, in collaboration with Thai sock brand PALLY SOCKS, has announced the launch of 'PALLY KIDS CINEMA' at Mega Cineplex Bangna, set to open on April 4. This initiative is designed to expand its customer base among families and children as the school holidays commence and aims to engage with the M GEN KIDS members, which currently number over 500,000.

Surachet Assavareunganon, the Executive Vice President of Advertising at Major Cineplex, stated that the Kids Cinema concept has received positive feedback from families and children.

The partnership with PALLY SOCKS as the Naming Sponsor is expected to enhance the brand’s visibility and reflect its commitment to providing a joyful experience for children of all ages.

The cinema will feature a Playland area equipped with ball pits, slides, and development-boosting activities.

The PALLY KIDS CINEMA will provide a brighter environment, with lighting increased by 20% and sound levels reduced by 30%, making it more suitable for young audiences.

The theater is designed to accommodate 83 seats specifically tailored for children, addressing the needs of families and ensuring comfort for all ages.

Currently, there are 19 Kids Cinema locations across Bangkok and other provinces, including Paragon Cineplex, Icon Cineconic, and several Major Cineplex branches.

Surachet indicated plans for further expansion in the future, noting that the collaboration with PALLY SOCKS would enhance the cinema experience and attract more families into their network.

Alisara Vichaiwatthanaparnich, Deputy Managing Director of PALLY SOCKS, emphasized that while PALLY SOCKS specializes in children’s socks, the brand is committed to ensuring comfort and safety for children through thoughtfully developed products.

The partnership is seen as a strategic move to enhance brand recognition among families, as it aligns with the behavior of Thai families who often take their children to movies during weekends and school breaks.

The Mega Cineplex Bangna site is identified as a prime location for families, offering various facilities that foster learning and entertainment, further enhancing the movie-going experience for children.

The PALLY KIDS CINEMA at Mega Cineplex Bangna will open on April 4, 2024, with special promotions for members under the age of 12 in the M GEN Kids program, allowing them free admission from April 4 to 6.

During the school holidays from now until April 30, 2024, the Kids Cinema chains will operate daily, with an exciting lineup of films including 'A MINECRAFT MOVIE' on April 3, 'The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie' on May 1, 'Lilo & Stitch (Live Action)' on May 22, 'How to Train Your Dragon' on June 12, 'Elio' on June 19, and 'Jurassic World Rebirth' on July 2.
