Nestlé Ice Cream Expands into Restaurant Sector Amid Growing Market
The Thai food and beverage market is projected to reach 657 billion Baht by 2025, prompting Nestlé to introduce new ice cream products for restaurants.
Nestlé Ice Cream is set to expand its presence in the restaurant sector as the Thai food and beverage industry continues to show significant growth, with projections estimating a market value of 657 billion Baht by 2025. This shift comes in response to consumer preferences in Thailand, where dining experiences often conclude with dessert.
According to data from the Kasikorn Research Center, the restaurant and beverage market is anticipated to grow by 4.6% in the next year.
In light of these figures, Nestlé has launched a new line of ice cream cups featuring seven flavors, aimed at enhancing the dining experiences of Thai consumers who favor sweet options at the end of their meals.
Montana Khongkhreuan, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé (Thailand) Ltd.'s ice cream division, emphasized the company's understanding of local consumers.
She noted that dining in Thailand traditionally includes a dessert course, thus making the introduction of ice cream products in restaurants a strategic move to meet this demand.
"Thai consumers enjoy finishing their meals with dessert.
Therefore, having our products available through restaurant channels will allow us to offer both delicious and high-quality ice cream from a brand that is widely recognized and trusted.
Meanwhile, our restaurant partners will benefit from the convenience of serving ice cream available in cup form, which is well-suited for concluding a meal," stated Khongkhreuan.
The new Nestlé ice cream range for restaurants includes seven popular flavors favored by Thai consumers, such as Milo, KitKat, Oreo, Thai tea, La Frutta strawberry yogurt, Nestlé coconut, and Nestlé chocolate chip.
These products will feature a distinctive golden Nestlé Ice Cream logo, differentiating them from other ice cream offerings and reinforcing Nestlé's leadership in the ice cream industry.
The ice cream products have already begun distribution to various restaurants in Bangkok, with plans for future expansion into additional provinces in the near future.
