Siam Motors Group Recognized for Sustainability Efforts at UN Forum

The automotive conglomerate earns ‘Climate Action Leaders Recognition’ for its environmental and social governance commitments.
Siam Motors Group (SMG), a prominent player in the automotive and industrial sectors with over 70 globally recognized brands, including DAIKIN, KOMATSU, NISSAN, Kia, and GS Battery, has been honored with the ‘Climate Action Leaders Recognition’ for its steadfast commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The award was presented by Dr. Natcha Likhitkijvorakul, Advisor to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, during the ‘Climate Action Forum’ hosted at the United Nations Headquarters in Thailand.

This high-profile event convened representatives from government, the private sector, and civil society to promote collaborative climate solutions and further the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 17, which focuses on partnerships.

Co-hosted by the Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA – UN FAO) and Sustainism, the forum showcased innovative leadership in environmental and climate initiatives.

For more than 72 years, Siam Motors Group has effectively balanced business expansion with a profound sense of environmental and social responsibility.

Presently, the company dedicates significant resources to integrating sustainability across its operations, highlighted by its core commitments to:

- Achieve carbon neutrality by 2050,
- Support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and
