Thailand Seeks Immediate Release of Detained Thai Nationals by Myanmar
Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa announced that the director general of the Department of East Asian Affairs was instructed to summon the Myanmar ambassador for talks.
Thailand expressed grave concerns regarding reports of Myanmar soldiers firing on a Thai fishing vessel and detaining the crew, which included both Thai and Myanmar nationals.
