The GAC AION V electric SUV has secured a remarkable array of global accolades in 2025, underscoring the strength and international appeal of China’s intelligent electric vehicles.
The model earned the highest double five-star safety ratings from both the European New Car Assessment Programme and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program, excelling in adult occupant protection, child safety, pedestrian protection and advanced driver-assistance systems and cementing its world-class safety credentials.
Beyond safety recognitions, the AION V has been acknowledged by industry experts and customers in key global markets.
In Australia, it was selected as a finalist for the Drive Car of the Year 2026 award for the best electric vehicle under sixty thousand Australian dollars, reflecting strong value and performance.
