Bangkok Raids Uncover Sixty Million Baht in Counterfeit Goods
Thai authorities conducted raids across Bangkok, seizing counterfeit sporting goods valued at over sixty million baht. The operation targeted seven key locations where over one hundred and twenty thousand fake items, including jerseys from famous football clubs and goods from brands like Nike and Adidas, were found. These items are now part of a legal case for trademark infringement.
In a major crackdown on counterfeit goods, Thai authorities seized over sixty million baht worth of fake branded sporting goods during raids conducted across Bangkok's Pratunam and various districts including Bang Kho Laem, Sathon, and Chom Thong.
The operation targeted seven key locations, armed with search warrants from the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.
Officials discovered over one hundred and twenty thousand counterfeit items, including sports jerseys from renowned football clubs and goods bearing trademarks like Nike, Adidas, and Puma.
Representatives from the affected brands were present during the raids, and the seized items are being held as evidence for further legal proceedings under the Trademark Act.
