Cold Weather Continues Across Thailand, Bringing Cooler Mornings to Bangkok

Temperatures drop by one to three degrees Celsius in several regions, with strong winds and isolated rains expected.
The Thai Meteorological Department reported on Sunday that cold weather persists across Thailand, with temperatures dropping by one to three degrees Celsius in the North and Northeast, accompanied by strong winds.

Mountaintops in these regions are forecasted to experience cold to very cold conditions, while the Central, East, and upper South, including Bangkok, will see cooler mornings.Authorities have advised residents in the upper country to take precautions against health risks due to fluctuating weather conditions and to remain vigilant against potential fire hazards caused by strong winds and dry air.The strong northeast monsoon is expected to bring isolated thundershowers to the southern East coast, with waves reaching up to three meters in the Gulf of Thailand.

In the Andaman Sea, waves could rise to two meters in areas experiencing thundershowers.The department has urged all vessels in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea to exercise caution, while small boats in the lower Gulf should remain ashore.Regional forecasts include:- North: Morning cool to cold with fog and a temperature drop of one to three degrees Celsius.

Isolated light rain is expected.

Minimum temperatures range from 15 to 21 degrees Celsius, with highs between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Mountaintop temperatures will be between six and 15 degrees Celsius.

- Northeast: Cool to cold with strong winds and a temperature drop of one to two degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures will range from 13 to 17 degrees Celsius, with highs of 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.

Mountaintops will see temperatures between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius.- Central: Morning cool with strong winds and a temperature drop of one to three degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures will be between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, with highs of 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.- East: Morning cool with strong winds and a temperature drop of one to three degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures will range from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius, with highs of 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.- South (East coast): Cool conditions with isolated thundershowers, mainly affecting Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperatures will range from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, with highs between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius.- South (West coast): Morning cool with isolated light rains.

Minimum temperatures will be between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, with highs of 33 to 34 degrees Celsius.- Bangkok and surrounding areas: Morning cool with strong winds and a temperature drop of one to three degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures will be between 21 and 22 degrees Celsius, with highs of 32 to 34 degrees Celsius.
