Prasitsak Meelarp Appointed as New Court President
Prasitsak Meelarp has been appointed as the new president of the Supreme Administrative Court, starting October 1. He replaces Vorapot Visrutpich, who is retiring at 70. Praisitsak's appointment comes after selection by the Judicial Commission, Senate approval, and royal endorsement.
Prasitsak Meelarp, previously the vice president of the Supreme Administrative Court, has been royally endorsed as the new court president, starting on October 1.
He succeeds Vorapot Visrutpich, who retires at the age of 70. Prasitsak was selected by the Judicial Commission of the Administrative Courts, approved by the Senate on September 3, and later received royal endorsement.
His academic credentials include a law degree from Ramkhamhaeng University and a master's degree in political science from Thammasat University, along with passing the Thai bar exam.
His career includes time as a public prosecutor from 1997 to 2001, and joining the Central Administrative Court in February 2001, before serving as vice president since October 2020.
