Thai Government Announces Compensation for Bus Fire Victims
The Thai government will compensate the families of the victims of a recent bus fire, with one million baht for each of the 23 individuals who died. This decision was made following a meeting led by Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit. The tragic event occurred in Pathum Thani, affecting students and teachers from Uthai Thani's Wat Khao Phraya Sangharam School.
The Thai government has decided to provide compensation of 1 million baht for each of the 23 victims who died in a tragic school bus fire.
The decision was made by the Disaster Relief Fund under the PM’s Office after a meeting led by Transport Minister and Deputy PM Suriya Juangroongruangkit.
The accident occurred on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Pathum Thani’s Lam Lukka district, involving students and teachers from Uthai Thani's Wat Khao Phraya Sangharam School.
In addition to the compensation for the deceased, 700,000 baht will be given to each victim left disabled, 200,000 baht for those with severe injuries, and 100,000 baht for those with minor injuries.
