Thai Prime Minister's APEC Visit to Strengthen Ties with Peru
Paetongtarn Shinawatra's First Visit to Peru as Prime Minister to Enhance Bilateral and APEC Relations
Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra will attend the 31st Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Lima, Peru, from Sunday to Saturday.
This visit marks her first official trip to the Latin American country since assuming her role.
According to Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazan, Peru's Ambassador to Thailand, the visit will serve to bolster both bilateral relations between Thailand and Peru and reinforce the APEC framework.
Thailand has consistently supported Peru's APEC chairmanship, contributing to various initiatives throughout the year.
The two countries aim to deepen economic integration, promote sustainable growth, and remove trade barriers, aligning with APEC 2024's goals.
The summit will also feature the BCG Award presentations on November 14, a nod to successful strategies advancing a Balanced, Connected, and Green economy.
