Aiming to Become ASEAN's Digital Hub
The Thai government has introduced a 'Cloud-First' policy to spearhead its national digital transformation and establish itself as ASEAN's digital hub.
Central to this initiative is the partnership with Huawei Cloud Stack, which provides cloud services to over 220 government departments, aiming to cut investment budgets by 30-50%.
This strategic move is intended to enhance service quality, attract global investment, and promote economic growth.
Thailand National Telecom (NT), led by CEO Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, is leveraging Huawei Cloud to implement the Government Data Center and Cloud Services (GDCC) project, introducing innovative solutions across sectors including smart transportation and health platforms.
Senior executives Wongkot Vijacksungsithi and Yuttasart Nitipaichit highlighted the project's focus on creating a multi-cloud environment that ensures compliance with national security standards, offering over 80 cloud services.
Huawei Cloud's CTO Johnny Lv emphasized their role in developing a secure, scalable cloud architecture to support Thailand's digital ambitions and enhance its competitive edge globally.
