Myanmar Defence Minister Explores Drone and Air Defence Ties in Beijing

Myanmar Defence Minister General Tin Aung San led a delegation to the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, discussing drone and air defence collaboration with Chinese tech firms. The delegation attended a welcoming dinner and participated in various events, including the opening ceremony featuring a message from President Xi Jinping.
Myanmar Defence Minister General Tin Aung San led a delegation to the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum from September 12 to 13, 2023.

The delegation visited at the invitation of Admiral Dong Jun, the Chinese Minister for National Defense, to discuss collaboration on drones and air defence systems with Beijing tech firms.

During their visit, the Myanmar delegation attended a welcoming dinner hosted by General Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, and participated in the forum's opening ceremony and plenary meeting.

A message from Chinese President Xi Jinping was read at the opening ceremony, followed by a speech from Admiral Dong Jun.
