Bangkok International Motor Show to Showcase Record Number of Automakers
The 46th edition of the Bangkok International Motor Show promises to be the largest yet, featuring 54 automakers and a dedicated area for electric vehicle innovations.
The 46th Bangkok International Motor Show is set to take place from March 26 to April 6, 2023, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
The event is organized by Grand Prix International (GPI) and is expected to feature a record number of participants, with 54 automakers including 41 car manufacturers and 13 motorcycle makers confirmed from regions including Europe, the United States, and Asia.
This year's edition will occupy an expanded area, using Challenger Halls 1-3 as well as Forum Hall, marking the largest footprint in the event's history.
Among the first-time exhibitors are emerging brands such as Zeekr, Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery, Kinggen, Juneyao, Riddara, and Geely.
The inclusion of these new companies highlights the growing diversity of the automotive market in Thailand and reflects the country's importance as a regional hub for the industry.
Additionally, a significant focus will be placed on the electric vehicle (EV) sector, with 9,000 square meters of Forum Hall 4 dedicated to showcasing EV parts and accessories sourced from China.
This area is specifically designed to attract Thai distributors, indicating a concerted effort to promote the adoption of electric vehicles within Thailand's automotive landscape.
GPI chief of operations, JATURON KOMOLMIT, has indicated that the scale of the event this year is indicative of the robust growth and evolving dynamics within the automotive industry, particularly in relation to sustainable and innovative transport solutions.
