A recent survey highlights Thailand's appeal to solo travelers, reflecting its cultural richness and safety.
Thailand has been ranked fifth globally for solo travel this year, according to a survey conducted by Kensington, a luxury travel service platform.
The survey evaluated preferences among affluent travelers, revealing that India secured the top position, followed by Italy, Japan, Egypt, and Thailand.
The findings were announced by deputy government spokesman Anukul Prueksanusak, who emphasized Thailand's broad appeal to various groups of foreign tourists, particularly solo travelers.
The report indicated a growing trend among travelers seeking destinations that offer deep cultural significance and stunning landscapes, coupled with a sense of independence and high-quality, personalized service.

Mr. Anukul pointed out the key attributes that attract solo travelers to Thailand, including its safety, diverse cultural offerings, and travel convenience.
He described Thailand as a captivating destination that harmonizes ancient and modern cultures, featuring vibrant local cuisine, unique lifestyles, and the renowned warmth of Thai hospitality.
The Thai government aims to leverage this favorable ranking as part of its strategy during the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025. Mr. Anukul stated the government's commitment to fostering quality tourism, seeking to enhance the country's standing as a preferred destination for solo travelers and beyond.
