Pattaya City has approved an 11-kilometre monorail line that will stretch from the Thap Phraya intersection to Nong Mai Kaen.
The final public hearing for the Purple Line monorail system, chaired by Phutthaset Charoenphat, was held on Wednesday.
Participants approved the format, blueprint, and environmental impact study for the second phase.
The monorail, deemed suitable due to its minimal structural footprint, will connect 12 stations located 800 to 1,000 meters apart.
City Hall plans to expropriate 635 land plots and 461 buildings for the project, which will use a public-private partnership investment model.
