Thailand’s BCPG and Ornsirin Partner to Explore Solar and Battery Storage Integration in Real Estate
Renewables leader and property developer sign MoA to assess feasibility of solar-plus-battery systems for smarter, sustainable property projects
BCPG Public Company Limited, a major renewable energy firm in Thailand and the Asia-Pacific, and Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited, a prominent Thai real estate developer, have agreed to jointly study the feasibility of deploying integrated solar power generation and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across property developments.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Agreement, aims to harness clean energy solutions to enhance energy efficiency, lower long-term utility costs and help drive the adoption of renewable energy within Thailand’s property sector.
The initiative is positioned as a strategic move to support smart, sustainable development in residential and commercial real estate.
BCPG’s Chief Investment Officer, Charnvit Trangadisaikul, emphasised the company’s commitment to innovation and its capability to deliver advanced energy management technologies that address evolving energy needs while reducing environmental impact.
He described the partnership as a key milestone that could bring solar generation and battery storage into mainstream property projects, offering Thailand’s property industry new tools to improve competitiveness and create long-term economic, social and environmental value.
From Ornsirin’s perspective, Chief Executive Officer Predikorn Buranupakorn highlighted the potential benefits of integrating clean energy systems into developments, including reduced electricity expenses for homeowners and common facilities, and strengthened project value over time.
He said the pact aligns with Ornsirin’s vision to develop “Smart & Sustainable Communities” that combine technology, innovation and renewable energy to foster efficient, environmentally friendly ecosystems for living, working and learning.
