Her husband, Adiansa, discovered her belongings and spotted the snake, leading villagers to cut it open and find her inside. Such incidents are rare but have occurred multiple times in recent years.

Spotting a nearby python with a noticeably large belly, he called villagers to help cut it open, revealing her body inside.
This was the second fatal python attack in the province in a month.
Previous incidents include a woman found in a python in Southeast Sulawesi in 2018 and a farmer in West Sulawesi in 2017.
